ECB Balance Sheet With Largest Decline on Record
ECB’s balance sheet (or total assets) decreased by €297.6bn (-3.39%, Δ 1 week) to a total of €8,471.4bn. This is the lowest level in over 11 months (since 03.12.2021) and the Largest decrease since the beginning of the time series 23 years ago in since 01.01.1999.
Last week’s voluntary TLTRO-repayments are obviously the reason for this. The amount of TLTRO repayments for the next repayment date effective 22 December 2022 will be announced on 9 December 2022 by the ECB.
