German Banks Just Swapped c€850bn of Central Bank Deposits

Last week German banks swapped c€850bn of central bank deposits from their current accounts with Deutsche Bundesbank to their deposit facilities. The latter carries an interest rate while the former is largely exempt from interest rates except for minimum reserves.
